Yardsale bills itself as “Simple buying and selling with your neighbors and friends.” This product goes head to head with Craigslist in the mobile arena. We’ll see if it leapfrogs Craigslist in same way that Instagram leapfrogged Flickr, but I do enjoy it when an ambitious startup decides to directly take on a stagnant incumbent. Some of the design and art work is by the Jon Contino. Right now it’s just an iOS app, but hopefully there will be Android applications released sooner than later as building a large enough user base is necessary for it to be useful.
